Jeremy is the Chief Executive Officer of the University of Winnipeg Community Renewal Corporation (UWCRC) & UWCRC 2.0 Inc., and has over two decades experience in organizational management at a senior executive level. Jeremy joined UWCRC/UWCRC 2.0 Inc. in June 2016, as its Chief Operating Officer and was appointed CEO in January 2020. Jeremy is responsible for the supervision and management of the senior management team and the corporations’ overall development activities, property management and business operations including the development of UWCRC’s long-term strategic direction and financial planning. Jeremy is UWCRC’s primary liaison with the University of Winnipeg’s Senior Administration and our Corporations’ Boards. Jeremy leads the Development Team on sourcing funding and financing, financial modelling, as well as fostering community involvement and partnerships in UWCRC/UWCRC 2.0 projects. Jeremy also oversees the corporations’ marketing and communications activities.

Prior to his work with the UWCRC, Jeremy served as the Chief of Staff to the Premier of Manitoba, and was for five years the Senior Executive Officer and Advisor to President at UWinnipeg (for both Dr. Axworthy and Dr. Trimbee). In these positions, Jeremy was involved in the strategic planning and decision-making for various major developments as well as negotiating revenue and funding arrangements for various capital projects. Jeremy was responsible for overseeing strategic communications planning for the provincial government and University in these roles. Jeremy has also held civil service positions with the Province of Manitoba in Federal-Provincial relations in the Health and Education Ministries. Jeremy served at separate points as a senior political advisor to several provincial Ministers in the Doer and Selinger governments. Jeremy’s post-secondary undergraduate and graduate education was focused on Literature, Philosophy, Theology and Political Theory.

Jeremy was awarded the Manitoba Non-Profit Housing Association’s 2025 Spirit of Leadership Award, recognizing him as a leader whose vision and energy drive the advancement of non-profit housing across Manitoba.

Over the years, Jeremy has volunteered with various community and social service organizations, in roles ranging from membership on community centres and school district advisory boards, involvement on not- for-profit fundraising committees, instructing in ESL and Literacy programs, participation in homelessness and addictions outreach, and work with inner city youth, including directing and instructing in overnight and day camp programs. More recently, Jeremy has served on the Merchants Corner Inc. Board (2022-2023) and currently serves on the Board of Diversity Food Services (2016-present), the Salvation Army’s Community Advisory Committee (2018-present), and Siloam Mission’s Housing Advisory Committee (2024-present).

Jeremy is extraordinarily grateful for his best-friend and spouse, Natasha, and is the proud father of a twenty-six-year-old daughter, Ceanray, who currently works for a Canadian Senator, a seven-year-old son, Sasha, who has entered grade one in an Ukrainian-English Bilingual program and a three-year old son, Adrian, who is simply a lot of fun.
