Bindu Bonneau is the Executive Director of Métis Urban Housing Corporation and Métis Capital Housing Corporation. She migrated from India in 2010. She has been with the corporation since 2012. As a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with over 20 years of expertise in the financial and housing sectors, she brings a wealth of experience to her role. Her skill set extends to strategic and operational planning, administration, project development and management, policy and procedure development, governance, public and government relations, data security optimization, database development, performance and quality management, risk assessment and management. Bindu's expertise also extends to finding housing solutions for Indigenous communities in Canada. Notably, she leads the planning and management of new construction projects at Métis Housing, including Cecil Bellrose Manor, Hope Village, and Wahkohtowin Community and fosters connections with government agencies and community organizations to advance affordable housing solutions for Indigenous families across Alberta and Canada. Committed to collaboration and inclusivity, Bindu believes that diverse perspectives should be considered when developing and refining policies to strengthen communities.
