Rob Appleyard as CEO, has lead the Brentwood Community Development group for the last 11 years. Brentwood owns and operates 680 housing units and is a provider of affordable housing utilizing the mixed market income model as well as providing self funded rent geared to income subsidy programs. When Rob started at Brentwood 95% of the assets were over 40 years old with major deferred maintenance issues. Under Rob's leadership Brentwood has restored 62% of the assets to have at least 50 years of expected life. Brentwood is currently executing a program of projects to demolish the 207 end of life units and replace them with 720 new units significantly densifying the land. Prior to Brentwood Rob spent 20 years as a technology consultant helping introduce more efficient business practices through technology in the healthcare, higher education, utility, and retail sectors. Rob has served/is serving as a Director for the Albert Public Housing Administrators Association and the Seniors Housing Society of Alberta.
